Dr. Ellen Drysdale
Dr. Ellen Drysdale is originally from Halifax. She has had the privilege of serving her community for over 20 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University before graduating from Dalhousie Dental School in 1994 where she was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Greatest proficiency in Clinical Dentistry and Academic Achievement, Quintessence Prize for Excellence in Clinical Achievement in Periodontics and Canadian Academy of Periodontology Prize. Dr. Drysdale is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association. She is licensed with the Nova Scotia Dental Board.
Dr. Drysdale enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis on family dental care and prevention. She also enjoys cosmetic dentistry and is part of an implant study group. She takes a sincere interest in each individual and has a warm and caring style. By listening to individuals she is able to customize dental treatment to meet their specific needs.
After seven years of practicing in Tantallon, Dr. Drysdale moved to North Carolina. She returned to establish her practice in Halifax. She enjoys a healthy lifestyle and loves the outdoors. She recognizes dental health is part of your total health.
Dr Joseph K. Carter
Dr. Carter was born and raised in Halifax, N.S. where he attended Dalhousie University and completed his Undergraduate and Dental Degree. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves being able to provide a wide variety of treatment to all ages. For patients suffering from fear of dental treatment, Dr. Carter is board certified in offering Nitrous Oxide sedation to his patients. The treatment provides moderate sedation administered by a mask and wears off quickly. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Carter enjoys training and competing in Triathlons (completed his first Ironman in 2019), travelling, fishing, golfing, attending concerts, cooking, photography and camping.
Dr. Michael Michael MacDonald
Formally from PEI, Dr. MacDonald graduated from Dalhousie University in 1989 with BSc., D.D.S. He is married with three children and was involved in coaching hockey for 15 years with his boys. He spent the first eight years of his career practicing in Yarmouth, then moved to Halifax. Many services he is providing to his patients include dental implants, crowns, bridges, restorations and dentures.Dr. MacDonald is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Nova Scotia Dental Association and is licensed with the Nova Scotia Dental Board.
